Kaitlyn & Zach’s Art Deco inspired downtown Raleigh wedding was a blast!
And we love how they incorporated the art deco theme with their Gatsby vibes throughout their decor and attire!
This was such a fun day to be a part of! Kaitlyn was a bridesmaid in Gina & Aaron’s wedding, which we coordinated back in 2019, so it was fun to see Gina & Aaron celebrating Kaitlyn & Zach this time around!
When they reached out, Kaitlyn described their wedding style as “Art Deco”, with a focus on dark emerald green, gold, black, & white. And wow were we blown away by the details they put together! From DIY feather centerpieces to Gatsby style signage, the 1920s Art Deco vibes were unmistakable!
City Club Raleigh has several spaces for events and getting ready, so both Kaitlyn & Zach were able to prep on site. They got ready separately with their parties and then had a first look at the bottom of the stairs. Kaitlyn’s party wore dark green gowns from Azazie, and Zach’s crew wore black suits and bow ties from MensWearhouse. Kaitlyn’s beaded gown and Zach’s green velvet jacket just further accentuated the Art Deco style!
The ceremony was held in front of City Club’s large windows that overlook downtown Raleigh- one of the best views of the city! Reverend Kayelily Middleton included one of our favorite unity ceremonies- the wine ceremony! This one was a little different, with Kaitlyn & Zach each pouring separate bottles into one glass to create a new blend, which they then shared a sip of.
Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the landing while the ceremony space was flipped for dinner. There was plenty to entertain them, with a photobooth, guestbook, and 1920s style music!
Kaitlyn ordered her wedding day flowers from Something Borrowed Blooms and DIYed her centerpieces with feathers. This is a GREAT option for winter weddings, as local flowers are scarce. By renting her flowers instead of DIYing, she knows that they will be used again by other couples and not go straight to a landfill. We think Something Borrowed Blooms has some pretty real looking designs! These are from their Jade collection.
And yes, there was snow on the ground for this wedding, making us all grateful for the beautiful indoor view form the 28th floor of City Club Raleigh. Yes, it does sometimes snow here in NC!
Shout out to all the stellar wedding pros who helped with this beautiful day! Thank you to Kaitlyn & Zach for letting us be part of it!
