This summer Emily Katherine Events added a new addition to our team, our very first intern! After an awesome summer of weddings, open houses, and styled shoots, Cayla has joined our team as an Assistant Coordinator. At the close of her internship, Cayla wrote this letter for us.

“Initially before starting my internship I was nervous. I didn’t have much experience in event planning, I knew I’d be working on couples weddings and I didn’t want to have anything go wrong on their special day. Plus, my classmates had told me horror stories about their internships.

My favorite part about interning was working on weddings. I loved that a couple wanted help to make sure their day went perfectly, that they trusted Emily Katherine Events with their dress or rings or just the flowers but it was the fact that a couple wanted help because they knew they could trust Emily. I loved being able to watch the couples’ ceremony and see them profess their love for one another, and then dance the night away. It all seemed magical to see the love between them. I also liked meeting different vendors during weddings or bride shoots and seeing how they did business and what their thoughts were about everything.

Overall I’m am glad I got to meet Emily and intern with her and I will get to continue working on weddings with her. She is a great boss and person and she made every thing I worked on with her fun and I never felt stressed out.”
