Burnt orange and powder blue. What perfect colors for an outdoor fall wedding, pulling from the natural colors of the changing leaves and the clear skies!
Rebekah and Matt’s October wedding was chock full of autumn inspiration, with pumpkins, leaves, and sunflowers enhancing the natural fall beauty at the US National Whitewater Center. We absolutely loved seeing their plans come to life, and we didn’t hate working in this beautiful space either!
This was my first time at the US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, although my brother LOVES the place and has a season pass. I can certainly see the draw, and if I lived in Charlotte I’d be considering getting a pass myself! Walking trails surround the water itself, and the list of activities seems endless- kayaking, rafting, high ropes, rock climbing, and zip lining! Rebekah and Matt met their friends out here the day before the wedding so they could explore all the center has to offer. I’m amazed they still had enough energy for the dance floor, but oh did they ever!
Working with Rebekah on her wedding coordination was extra special, because we were both in Phi Mu together at Appalachian State University! I didn’t know Matt pre-Rebekah, but I can tell from the way they interact that they are a match of equals, and that they make each other stronger. I am so honored to have been a part of their celebration!
The Whitewater Center has a beautiful little amphitheater in the forest where Rebekah and Matt got married, and a covered pavilion nearby for the reception. And of course they were free to wander the whole park for photos!
With such a gorgeous outdoor setting, Rebekah and Matt kept their decorations minimal and DIY! Framed photos acted as table names, and fresh sunflowers added another fall accent to the tables. And their amazing fall themed desserts were made by Matt’s grandmother! We love that their dogs made an appearance on the cake!
