When we moved to Durham, the Hubster and I immediately went on a friend quest. Working from home can seriously limit daily human interactions, so I made meeting people a top priority. Matt and Lauren were some of the first folks we met in Durham, and I still cannot believe our good luck. They are some of the most down to earth, generous, and fun-loving people I have ever known! So, naturally, I was giddy with excitement when Lauren asked me to be their day-of wedding coordinator.

Matt and Lauren were married at the Rigmor House in Chapel Hill.

This venue was perfect for them! It was the ideal location for this celebration with family and friends. When I pulled up to The Rigmor House that morning I felt like I was transported back to summer camp. Although technically in Chapel Hill, Rigmor House feels like you are out on a rustic retreat. Matt and Lauren, along with their family and bridal party, stayed on the property for the weekend, adding to the reunion/retreat feel. The ceremony was held outside, followed by hors d’ourves and dinner inside. The outdoor lawn games and fire pit were a huge hit, as was the candy bar favor table.

Alright, enough gushing, take a look at these great photos by Meg & Seb Photography!

Message on shoe

The groom wrote her a message on the bottom of her shoe…                                                                                                     “These shoes aren’t made for running, so no backing out now!”
