I knew a woman who planned her whole wedding herself, every detail. Made her decorations, found her own vendors, and even had the organizational expertise to create functional timelines. But the day of her wedding, when she was busy getting hair and makeup done, she realized she couldn’t go down and meet the florist, or check that the centerpieces were like she wanted. She had rented audio equipment, but there was no one there to set it up, because she had to get into her dress.


Not to worry, she sent her mom to the reception room to sort out flowers and decor, and her dad began running cables out to the ceremony site for sound. Crisis averted, right? Sure, but while mom was busy straightening out the reception room, she missed seeing her daughter get into her wedding dress, and since dad was doing sound checks, the bride didn’t get to see him at all until it was time to walk down the aisle.
